Gema Rupérez presenta su último proyecto Missed call, en el que contrapone algo tan sublime como la poesía, inmortalizada en libros, con su contrario simbólico en el imaginario colectivo, la prostitución, sometida a la invisibilidad.
La artista publica en la sección de contactos de un diario local, versos extraídos de poemas de amor escritos por mujeres reconocidas:
[Sé gritar hasta el alba. Alejandra] verso correspondiente a un poema de Alejandra Pizarnik.
Los anuncios, diferentes entre sí, están asociados a un mismo número de teléfono, un móvil activo que se expone formando parte de la instalación, al lado de las hojas de periódico, recibiendo y registrando las llamadas de números desconocidos, en tiempo real.
Es interesante la tensión que produce el teléfono encendido, que puede sonar en cualquier momento, en medio del proceso de contemplación o reflexión del espectador. La llamada anónima interrumpe el silencio, y es entonces cuando la obra te interpela definitivamente.

The artist publishes in the contact section of a local newspaper, verses extracted from poems of love written by recognized women:

The advertisements, different from each other, are associated with the same telephone number, a mobile that is exposed as part of the installation, next to the newspaper sheets, receiving and recording calls from unknown numbers, on real time.
It is interesting the tension that produces the phone on, which can sound at any time, in the middle of the process of contemplation or reflection of the viewer. The anonymous call interrupts the silence, and that is when the work definitively challenges you.
