Sound sculpture installed in a soundscape:
The work consists of a mannequin (female torso) made of transparent plastic. In each of its breasts is the mechanism of a musical box. To make the piece sound, it is only necessary to turn the hands protruding from the nipples in a clockwise direction. The melody is “love story” but a discordance is generated when the two mechanisms are in operation.
The installation is located within a soundscape, the sand and the sea provide a symphonic base charged with melancholy, full of myths and legends. A soothing hum and the song of a mermaid who can never become a perfect woman; punished by nature and by stories.
